Challenge

La Lorraine Bakery Group has been growing tremendously the past years, especially the Frozen Business Unit. In retail and foodservice, this business unit is one of the European market leaders for frozen bake-off products.

As a result of this growth, several departments are looking for new full-time employees. La Lorraine asked us to fill in the Supply Chain Specialist vacancy in the Supply Chain team until they find a permanent person to join the team.

Solution

We completed the daily tasks of a supply chain specialist:

  • Placing orders, managing communication and arranging transport with the international La Lorraine offices and with external suppliers.

  • Monitoring orders, delivery reliability and making adjustments if needed.

  • Being responsible for stock levels by monitoring slow moving stock and avoiding out-of-stocks. Thereby, ensuring an optimal stock according to the desired service level and at the lowest possible cost.

  • Managing the planning for some external warehouses based on forecasts, desired stock levels and sales data.

  • Making sure that the stock levels in SAP corresponds to the stock level of external partners. In case of a discrepancies, looking of the cause and propose appropriate solutions.
